Somatic Joy®

Unlike traditional exercises where the objective is to burn calories, strengthen muscles or power training. ATM® lessons teach you how to reduce unnecessary muscular effort to improve awareness of the whole self in action. 
 
ATM® lessons are holistic and yet a unique somatic learning practice supporting mindful movements. 

 

Group Classes
 

         Awareness Through Movement®- consists of verbally guided movement sequences.  ATM® lessons use slow mindful movements to achieve powerful effects in terms of strength, flexibility, and holistic integration of body and mind.

 

Similar to Tai Chi or gentle yoga, this therapy re-educates the body, by increasing consciousness through movement for greater ease supporting long-lasting benefits. Attending a group class, workshop or a one on one session provides great benefits for total well-being.

Sessions 

Sessions are your basic open lessons for everyone that are offered in a group setting for 45 - 60 minutes. Sessions are great for those wanting to learn at their leisure. Learning occurs in the brain

 ( neuroplasticity ) and continues to encourage health and a balanced state of well being. Students are often amazed at the quick and clear transformation that occur in just one ATM® lesson!  Join a class and feel the difference.

Series 

Series are on-going closed group lesson for participants who are committed and needing special attention. These lessons are given on a weekly to a bi-weekly basis of 4, 6 or 8 weeks. Hobbyist or professional athletes appreciate the benefits of a cohesive group experience. Enhanced clarity, grace, and fluidity of form are noticed in your movement repertoire.

Workshops

Workshops are given in a 2-3 hour setting to open-minded people all over the world.  Participants learn the solid foundation of The Feldenkrais Method® in my "Essentials Workshop". provides  a solid foundation for experiential learning.

As infants and toddlers we spend years experimenting with ground forces and gravity until we can roll, sit, crawl, stand, walk and run.

Workshops are powerful series offered to coach participants through this new holistic learning (Somatics ) to engage brain and body while enhancing vitality. Would you like to develop a better relationships with your bodies through pleasurable movement?
